Police Seek Driver In Fatal Hit-And-Run Crash In Annandale
A pedestrian was fatally struck by a car on Wednesday morning, according to Fairfax County police.
ANNANDALE, VA — Fairfax County police are asking for the public's help locating a driver who was involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash in Annandale on Wednesday.
According to police, officers were called to the intersection of Little River Turnpike and Shelley Lane in Annandale shortly after 7 a.m. after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.
Preliminary investigation determined that Christopher Young, 34, of Annandale, was crossing Little River Turnpike at Shelley Lane when the driver of an unknown dark-colored sedan traveling westbound on the same road struck him. The driver of the vehicle did not stop, police said.

Young was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead.
