Power Restored to More Than 3,000 Saturday in Fairfax County
Power outage during freezing temperatures Saturday morning likely due to ice on trees, downed power lines in Fairfax County.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- More than 3,000 homes were without power Saturday morning in scattered outages across Fairfax County, after freezing rain hit the area, according to Dominion.
By mid-afternoon Saturday, almost all homes, except for six had been restored across the county.
The latest area to get hit Saturday morning, as the area was under a Winter Weather Advisory, was in the Fairfax City area, where about 1,600 homes were without power:

Other homes without power Saturday were in the Pimmit Hills area, where 73 homes were without power.
The outages were scattered, but the largest ones were also located in the following areas:

- McLean: 101
- Great Falls: 187 homes along Old Dominion Drive between McLean and Great Falls

- Hayfield area: 774 (near Huntley Meadows Park)

- Fairfax Station: 66 (estimated to be back on between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday)
