Power Outage, Roads Closed In McLean Due To Downed Cables: Report

MCLEAN, VA — Downed lines have forced Georgetown Pike to be shut down in both directions at Linganore Drive in McLean due to downed lines just before 5 p.m., on Tuesday, according to a Fairfax County Traffic Alert.

Motorists can expect delays and are advised to seek alternate routes as the road closure is expected to last several hours.

Dominion Energy reported that 183 customers were without power. Crews were assessing the power line damage. Power wasn't expected to be restored until 2 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
