Reminder: Beltway Lane Closings Tonight at Route 123, Expect Delays

The three right lanes of southbound I-495 at the Route 123 intersection close tonight, from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. for subway construction.
 
In addition, the entrance ramp from southbound Route 123 to southbound I-495 also will be closed. Drivers can detour by staying on southbound Route 123, turning right on International Drive, right on Galleria Drive, right on Tysons Boulevard, and then a slight left on to northbound Route 123 to immediately access southbound I-495.
 
Traffic will be allowed to pass through this interchange, though drivers can expect some delays when approaching the area.
 
The closures are necessary to allow overhead bridge construction. Additional closings also are scheduled to take place as needed throughout the year, until the bridge is complete.
 
Police will be onsite. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution, and pay attention to the signs.

Left Lane of Westbound Dulles Connector Road Closes Tonight

Left lane of the westbound Dulles Connector Road (Route Road bridge closes tonight  so crews can work on retaining walls in the median.

This lane will be closed from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m The work is being done at night because a lane on the busy Dulles Connector Road must be
closed. This work had been scheduled earlier this week but was delayed because of weather.
