Breakfast with Music. Those lovely summer concerts at the Palladium Civic Green in front of Star Nut kickoff their season  this morning. You can breakfast to music from 8-9am. Then return for a second concert from 5-7 pm. Every Saturday from 5-7 pm if you want to hear great music outside, come on down to the Civic Greenand meet the neighbors.

Breakfast with Barbara. Del. Barbara Comstock, R-34th, who is running for reelection, has invited her constituents to her Langley home for breakfast this morning.

Metro Delays. Metro's Orange Line trains will be single tracking between the East Falls Church and West Falls Church Metrorail stations throughout the weekend of May 7 because of Silver Line construction. Metrorail service will not be disrupted.

This work is related to the future tie-in of the extension to the existing Orange Line. Work will be taking place around the clock. Tie-in work requires several crews to work concurrently within a short window of time.

Absentee Voting for McLean Community Center Board. McLean residents can vote in the upcoming election for three new adult board members by absentee ballot and not have to worry about fighting the crowds on McLean Day to find the voting area.

Four adult candidates are running for three seats on the board. Four students are running for the two student seats on the 11-member board. You can also vote at McLean Day, held in Lewinsville Park.

Residents can stop by the McLean Community Center to pick up an absentee ballot package or can call the center or send a request by email to “elections@mcleancenter.org” to have a ballot package sent to their homes. Completed absentee ballot applications and ballots must be received by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18, to be counted.
