Search Resumes Wednesday Morning for Missing Northern Virginia Woman

US Park Police, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue have been searching Potomac River, river banks since Monday evening for missing woman.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- The U.S. Park Police is continuing its search Wednesday for Northern Virginia resident Becky M. McCleskey. McCleskey, 56, has been missing since 8 a.m. Monday, when she was last seen leaving her home.

The search, which began late Monday night and continued Tuesday morning until about 12:30 p.m., has resumed Wednesday morning as of about 8 a.m., according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue. Search teams have been out on the Potomac River, flying overhead and searching river banks on foot.

McCleskey’s vehicle entered Great Falls Park in the Great Falls area of Fairfax County at 4:36 p.m. Monday and was parked in the North parking area, according to U.S. Park Police. Police were notified she was missing Monday night, at about 10 p.m.
