Starbucks Increases Prices Nearly 20 cents on Small Coffee Size

Poll Results: Overwhelmingly No. What's Your Opinion?

McLean Patch just paid $1.84 for a Starbucks cup of coffee that cost us $1.58 last night.

That brought home Starbucks announcement this morning that the Seattle-based company has raised prices in the Northeast and the South on some of its coffees---the 12-ounce cup of coffee.

"Starbucks wouldn’t disclose all of the states its raising prices, but the regions include New York; Washington, D.C.; and most Southern states," according to the Washington Post. "They exclude California and Florida."

The price of a "tall" coffee went up plus the cost of six other beverages.

Our opinion: We are a good Starbucks customer and we are NOT happy. We're in the midst of the worse economic downturn in most of our lifetimes. Starbucks coffee is already very expensive and now they've raised the prices. Don't get us started.
