  1. A shoplifting suspect was shot and killed by police outside a Tyson's Corner Center on Feb. 22. After a foot chase outside one of the region's busiest shopping malls, the suspect fled into the woods, and officers fired weapons. The suspect was struck several times and died at an area hospital later that night. (WSET)
  2. A steering wheel lock giveaway is coming to McLean. Due to a dangerous TikTok challenge, the Fairfax County Police Department and Hyundai Motor Co. are partnering on a steering wheel lock giveaway. Held at the McLean District Station on Saturday, Mar. 4, the event is in response to increased thefts targeting Hyundai and Kia vehicles. (Patch)
  3. McLean Art teacherPamela Saunders will host a free "meet the author" Zoom event on Sunday, Feb. 26 for children ages 5-10. Saunders will hold a drawing for a prize for all in attendance.
