Tree Work By VDOT Leads To Closure Of Road In Great Falls

A section of River Bend Road in Great Falls will be closed from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday for tree work, VDOT said.

GREAT FALLS, VA — A section of River Bend Road in Great Falls will be closed from Tuesday through Friday for tree work, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

River Bend Road (Route 603) between Georgetown Pike (Route 193) and Arnon Chapel Road/Weant Drive (Route 682) will be closed to through traffic from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each day through Friday, Dec. 8.

People who need to reach properties and side streets within the work area along River Bend Road — between Mine Run Drive and Arnon Chapel Road/Weant Drive — will have access, VDOT said.

Through traffic will be detoured via Georgetown Pike, Walker Road (Route 681) and Arnon Chapel Road back to River Bend Road.
