This VA Mall Among America’s Best, According To New Survey

TYSONS, VA — If you need some retail therapy, Virginia has one of the best options to make a day of it, according to USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards for 2025.

Voting is still underway in some categories, but here’s what we know so far about the performance of Virginia retail centers in the voting:

Best Malls

Tysons Corner Center in Virginia came in at No. 9 on the list of 10 best malls that “elevate the shopping experience.”

USA Today described Tysons Corner Center as “a shopping destination” with around 300 stores, 40 dining spots, numerous department stores, a movie theater and a Hyatt Regency. The mall regularly hosts community events and seasonal events like the Cherry Blossom Festival and Earth Month celebration.

Virginia received nods in several other 10Best categories, including:

Best Hot Springs: Warm Springs Pools at The Omni Homestead Resort, Hot Springs (No. 9)

Best Wellness Retreat Center: Eupepsia Wellness Resort, Bland (No. 5)

Best Meditation Center: Satchidananda Ashram-Yogaville, Buckingham (No. 10)

Best Day Spa: Lilikoi Day Spa at Balian Springs, Alexandria (No. 7)

Best Cat Cafe: Mount Purrnon Cat Cafe and Wine Bar, Alexandria (No. 3)

Each pick was selected after USA Today’s 10Best editors and a panel of experts nominated their top picks, factoring in the variety of stores, the dining and entertainment options, ease of access, and events that set them apart from the rest. Then, readers voted to decide the winners.
