NORTHERN VIRGINIA — Shepherd’s Center of McLean-Arlington-Falls Church, an all-volunteer organization, is seeking volunteers to drive seniors to medical and dental appointments or run errands to grocery stores and pharmacies.

The center, a nonprofit group, has been operating since 2006, with a mission to provide free transportation to seniors.

Shepherd’s Center estimates that it provided more than 2,500 rides to seniors in 2022. To respond to recent increases in the number of requests, there is a need for more volunteers to join the current team of 60 volunteer drivers, the organization said.
