1 Arrested, 1 At Large in ATM Robbery of Woman at Mount Vernon Area Convenience Store

Police are hoping the public will recognize the second suspect, pictured here, wanted in connection with robbery of ATM customer Nov. 18.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Fairfax County Police detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in connection with a robbery that occurred outside the 7-Eleven store at 8434 Frye Road, on Friday, Nov. 18, at about 6:30 a.m.

A 58-year-old woman went into the store and used the ATM to withdraw cash. She left the store and as she walked toward Frye Road, a man grabbed her from behind and threw her to the ground, according to police. A second suspect grabbed the victim’s wallet and both suspects fled toward the adjacent apartment complex. The victim did not require medical attention.

One suspect has been identified and arrested. Ky’ree Tihoe, 18, of Alexandria, was apprehended at his home on Monday, Nov. 21, shortly before 10 p.m. He was transported to the Adult Detention Center and charged with robbery.

The second suspect was described as 18-26 years old, of unknown race, about 5 feet 8 inches tall. He was wearing a red jacket, with a reflective vest over it, tan pants and construction style boots. See photos here of the second suspect:
