Pedestrian Robbed Saturday by 2 Masked Men in Mount Vernon Area: Police
Police say that two men, one displaying a knife, robbed a pedestrian early Saturday in the Mount Vernon area.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- A pedestrian was robbed by two suspects, one who displayed a knife, early Saturday in the Mount Vernon area, according to Fairfax County Police.
The incident took place early Saturday at about 12:37 a.m. near 3900 Sonora Place (see map below). The victim was walking when he was approached by two men. One suspect displayed a knife and demanded money, according to police. The victim attempted to flee and dropped his phone. The victim was assaulted by one of the suspects but did not require rescue. The suspects fled on foot.
Police said the first suspect was described as black, 20 to 25 years old, 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet tall, and 160 to 180 pounds. He was wearing a gray jacket. The second suspect was described as black, 20 to 25 years old, 6 feet to 6 feet 1 inches tall, and 170 to 190 pounds. Both suspects’ faces were covered.
