Suspect Strikes Clerk with Gun in Robbery: Police
Two masked suspects held up a 7-Eleven on Mount Vernon Memorial Highway in the middle of the night, police said.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- A clerk working at the 7-Eleven store at 5638 Mount Vernon Memorial Highway was struck on the head by the butt of a gun during a robbery early Wednesday morning, police said.
Police say the armed robbery took place early Wednesday morning, at 3:53 a.m., afterΒ two men entered the store. One of the suspects struck the clerk with the butt of a gun and they fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.
Police said the suspects were both described as black. One was described as 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 10 inches tall and 180 to 195 pounds. He was wearing dark clothing. The other suspect was described as 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 10 inches tall and 215 to 230 pounds. Both suspects were wearing masks partially covering their faces, police said.
