Vermilion Chef to Helm Arcadia Dinner to Benefit Veteran Farmer Program
Executive Chef William Morris will oversee Sept. 7 fall harvest dinner to be held alfresco at Woodlawn Plantation.

The executive chef of an Old Town Alexandria restaurant will oversee a benefit dinner next month for a veteran farmer program at Arcadia Farm, near Mount Vernon.
Vermilion Executive Chef William Morris will join forces with Arcadia for the fall harvest dinner, set for Sunday, Sept. 7. The dinner, which will be held alfresco on the grounds of Woodlawn Plantation, located at 9000 Richmond Highway, supports and celebrates the launch of Arcadia’s new Veteran Farmer Program.
The evening will begin with passed canapés on the farm, followed by a four-course menu of reinvented BBQ classics prepared by an all-star lineup of chefs. The dinner will feature the freshest produce the region has to offer — much of it grown at Arcadia’s farms and by farms that work to support veteran farmers.
