Newport Police Log: Recent Arrests

NEWPORT, RI — Here are recent arrests. Information comes from the police log.

Feb. 21

Kyle Robert Shellman, 27 or 28, of Newport, was arrested t 4:54 a.m. on Malbone Road and charged with weapons violations (air guns prohibited).

Stephen DiSanto, 19 or 20, of Middletown, was arrested at 6:30 a.m. at a house on Truman Road. He was charged with violating a no contact order; attempted breaking and entering and vandalism (malicious injury to property). He was also charged with violating a no contact order on Jan. 26. Police allege they found him inside the house and hiding. DiSanto allegedly told officers he wanted to see his son.

Feb. 22

Victor J. Watson, 47 or 48, of Newport, was arrested at 7 p.m. at the police station. He was charged with narcotics offenses (Schedule I, II).
