Hampton Roads remembers people who lost their lives in 2025 while experiencing homelessness (whro.org) — Norfolk residents gathered downtown for a candlelit walk and vigil honoring 33 people who died in 2025 while experiencing homelessness, including two Norfolk Community Services Board staff members. The ceremony, part of National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day, featured poems, name readings, and calls from local advocates to treat unhoused neighbors with compassion across Hampton Roads.
   

2. Virginia Beach man arrested in Pinecone Circle shooting that left Norfolk resident dead (shorenewsnetwork.com) — A Norfolk resident was killed in a weekend shooting on Pinecone Circle in Virginia Beach, and a 45-year-old man has now been arrested and charged with second-degree murder. Police say the victim, 35-year-old Brinte Lamont Walston of Norfolk, was found unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives are still investigating and are asking anyone with information to contact them or Crime Solvers anonymously.
   

3. Antoinette DelBel (cbs12.com) — Norfolk viewers may remember reporter Antoinette DelBel from her three years at WTKR, where she covered major stories like the Chesapeake Walmart shooting and problems with unemployment benefits. Now reporting in South Florida, she brings that same investigative focus and community-minded approach to her new role while reflecting on experience gained in Hampton Roads and other cities.
   

4.
