Winter Show Opening Reception and Card-Making Class at the Craft Gallery of Artisans United

Start the new year out beautifully by joining us on January 3rd from 1:00 to 3:00 for the opening of the Winter Show at The Craft Gallery of Artisans United. Have some light refreshments, see work by the 20 local artist members of the Craft Gallery, and join the free card-making class (see below for details). There are always great gift options for whatever occasion you have in mind, as well as that special something for yourself.
And while you are at the gallery, take a moment and make one or more cards to take with you for Valentine’s Day or other occasions. We will have a free drop-in class going on during the reception to make and decorate cards and envelopes. Students will learn how to fold a card and make an accompanying envelope. We will use stamps, embossing tools and stencils decorate the cards. Also, we will use coloring pencils, markers and paints to embellish the cards. Each student will take home the cards and envelopes that they make during class.
Instructions will be repeated, at :15 and :45 past the hour, for those who arrive at various times. The class is for all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
The Craft Gallery is located at 4022 Hummer Road, Annandale, in the Fred M. Packard Center in the Annandale Community Park. Our open hours until December 31 are 10:00-4:00 Monday through Saturday and 1:00-4:00 Sunday. Starting in January we are closed on Mondays.
