OAKTON, VA — A portion of Chain Bridge Road/Route 123 at the Roseforest Drive intersection was closed early on Friday to allow workers to clear a large pine tree that had fallen across the road, according to a 5:30 a.m. alert from Fairfax County.

Although two workers were still clearing debris from the right turn lane on southbound Chain Bridge Road, traffic was able to get by on the two other lanes. A handful of Fairfax County Police officers remained on the scene.
