Downed Tree Blocks Chain Bridge Road Near I-66; Workers Clear Debris
Fairfax County Police were on the scene of a downed pine tree that was blocking Chain Bridge Road just north of the I-66 West ramp.

OAKTON, VA — A portion of Chain Bridge Road/Route 123 at the Roseforest Drive intersection was closed early on Friday to allow workers to clear a large pine tree that had fallen across the road, according to a 5:30 a.m. alert from Fairfax County.
Although two workers were still clearing debris from the right turn lane on southbound Chain Bridge Road, traffic was able to get by on the two other lanes. A handful of Fairfax County Police officers remained on the scene.
The tree that fell was one of the large pines located near the Two Flint Hill office building at 3050 Chain Bridge Road.
