Cross-Country: Oakton Girls Earn Third Straight District Title
Top five Cougars place in top 15, qualify for All-Concorde District

The Oakton High girls cross-country team continued its dominance in the Concorde District, taking its third straight title Wednesday.
With this title, the girls running program (cross-country, indoor and outdoor track) has won nine straight district titles.
The Cougars' top five runners each earned All-District honors, placing in the top 15.

Sophomore Allie Klimkiewicz placed first with a time of 17:36, receiving her second consecutive individual title. She beat her title-winning time last year by eight seconds.
Hailey Dougherty (18:22), Kristi Carrigan (8:56), Briana Stewart (19:22) and Kara Kendall (19:24) placed fourth, ninth, 12th and 14th, respectively.

The boys team earned fourth place overall, with Jack Stoney placing eighth with a time of 15:52.
