Fitness Resource Closes Oakton Store

Fitness Resource, located on Chainbridge Road in the Hunter Mill Plaza, has shut its doors after 26 years in business in Oakton. The business closed on Monday.

Carolyn Gregory, the director of advertising and marketing for Fitness Resource, explained the Fitness Resource stores in Chantilly and Tysons Corner will remain open. The Sterling location will close, too.

"It was a business decision made because we felt that we were over-stored in that trading area in terms of number of stores vs. projected sales," Gregory said.
