Oakton Library Celebrates National Library Week
Patrons leave notes to show their appreciation for the library
With short Post-It Notes of appreciation and support, patrons of the Oakton Library are participating in National Library Week.
"The library serves as a resource for learning, and a shelter when real life beomes too hard. Hope it stays for a long time," one patron wrote.
"My home away from home. I love walking here. Really use the audiobooks on my commute and walks," another wrote.

One 5-year-old, with the help of an adult, wrote, "I like it because it's quiet and there are lots of books there."
The board, sitting in the front lobby of the library, will stay there all week for visitors who would like to contribute a post.

And for those who'd like to show even more of their appreciation can volunteer from 10 a.m. to noon April 16 to help maintain the grounds. Bring your work gloves!
