Oakton Otters Shine at Divisionals

6 Oakton Otters Qualify for All Stars, 2 Alternates

Oakton, VA – The Oakton Otters Dive Team continued their winning streak at the 2024 NVSL Divisionals Championship, held at Donaldson Run. The team sent 16 talented divers to compete across seven categories, showcasing their exceptional skills and determination.

The Divisionals Championship is a highly competitive event, featuring the top divers from each Division 1 team. The Otters proved their dominance once again, qualifying six divers for the prestigious All-Stars Championship. Additionally, five team members secured alternate positions, demonstrating the team's overall depth of talent.

In the Freshman category, Sophia Blanco and Chloe Sanglier earned coveted spots in the All-Stars competition. Tyler Kroopnick also excelled, securing third place and a qualification for the All-Stars. Due to an unfortunate injury suffered by Brian Stegmaier, who initially placed first, Gabe Wilson will have the opportunity to compete in the All-Stars as an alternate. Caleb McManus will also represent the Otters in the Intermediate Boys category.

Isabelle Whang, a standout Senior Girl, earned her well-deserved spot in the All-Stars Championship. In the Senior Boys category, Brendan Doe and Jon Anthony Montel also impressed the judges, qualifying for the All-Stars.

The All-Stars Championship, taking place Sunday July 28th, 2024 at Hunt Valley, promises to be an exhilarating showdown of top-tier diving talent from all eight NVSL divisions. The Oakton Otters are eager to compete against the best and strive to bring home All-Stars titles.
