ALDI Grocery Opening HQ, Distribution Center in Virginia
Grocery chain has already opened two stores, another on the way in Alexandria.
ALEXANDRIA, VA -- ALDI grocery stores is opening a headquarters and distribution center in Virginia's Dinwiddie County, Gov. Terry McAuliffe announced this week.
ALDI has opened two stores in Alexandria with another one on the way set to open this year on Duke Street, the location that was home for many years to Mango Mike's. The company recently opened a new store in Del Ray at 425 E. Monroe Ave., where a Giant store was previously located and another in the City's West End at 4602 Kenmore Ave., just off of Van Dorn Street.
The Kenmore store has earned 3.5 stars on Yelp from 22 reviews. The Del Ray store has earned four stars out of five from six reviewers on Yelp.

The $57 million distribution center in Dinwiddie County will help service the Alexandria stores and another nearly 30 stores in the Commonwealth. In all there are 32 stores in the Commonwealth with plans to open 60 more stores in the next five years, according to ALDI CEO Jason Hart.
The new center will employ 145 full-time workers.
