Alexandria Chamber Announces Inaugural '40 Under 40' Honorees
The Chamber launched the program to honor those who are shaping the City of Alexandria for the future.
ALEXANDRIA, VA -- The Alexandria Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday announced the honorees for its 2016 "40 under 40 awards."
The 40 individuals will be celebrated at the 2016 Inaugural 40 under 40 Awards reception, sponsored by EagleBank, to be held Thursday, July 28, at the United Way Worldwide building, with an after-party at Mason Social, according to a news release from the Chamber.
The 40 under 40 program was established by the Chamber to recognize top men and women, age 40 and under, engaged in a variety of fields including business, technology, nonprofit management, civic life, public service, education, and the arts, who are shaping Alexandria for the future.

Winners were selected by a selection committee and evaluated on specific criteria including professional and scholastic accomplishments, community and volunteer impact, and their goals for future and lasting impact. The Chamber intends to use this year's event as the commencement of a broader leadership initiative, further engaging awardees within the community that has nominated and selected them to make a difference.

Registration for the 40 Under 40 event is now open. The event takes place Thursday, July 28, from 6:30 PM - 9 p.m., at United Way Worldwide, 701 N. Fairfax St. in Alexandria. Individual tickets are $79; a package of five tickets is $380 or a package of 10 tickets is $750. Register here.
