Alexandria Convention & Visitors Association Presents Superstar Awards
Staff from the Carlyle House, DC Metro Food Tours and the Mount Vernon Estate all were named 2011 award winners.

The Alexandria Convention & Visitors Association presented its 2011 Superstar Awards at the December Tourism Marketing Forum held at Mount Vernon Estate, Museum & Gardens.
The awards are given to individuals who have done an outstanding job supporting the success of Alexandria tourism while collaborating on ACVA’s programs.
The 2011 award winners are Sarah Coster, director of ; Sharone Swedarsky, co-owner of Alexandria-based DC Metro Food Tours; and Rebecca Aloisi, vice president of marketing for Mount Vernon Estate, Museum & Gardens.

The program included a presentation of ACVA’s holiday marketing campaign, which will reach over 12 million potential visitors, as well as a greeting from James Craik, George Washington’s personal physician, portrayed by Tom Plott on behalf of Mount Vernon.
Guests of the forum then toured the estate and visited Aladdin, George Washington’s Christmas camel.
