Alexandria Food and Wine Fest Crowns Winners

Trademark Restaurant, Walker’s Grille and Alexandria Cupcake came away as the winners of Saturday’s Alexandria Food and Wine Festival at John Carlyle Park.

The three restaurants took prizes in categories judged by a panel that included WJLA’s Scott Thuman, 94.7 Fresh FM’s Kelly Collis, Lisa Shapiro from Dining in DC and Molly Ahern from DC food site The List Are You On It?

Trademark restaurant won in the Best Appetizer category for its bacon candy. Walker’s Grille won best entrée for its scallops dish, while Alexandria Cupcake claimed best dessert with its Guinness Chocolate Cupcake.  

About a dozen restaurants and 14 wineries participated in the second-annual festival.
