Attempted Hybla Valley Sexual Assault Leads To Charge For Alexandria Man
Fairfax County Police say the attempted sexual assault happened after the suspect offered the victim a ride.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — An Alexandria man is facing a charge in an attempted sexual assault Sunday in Hybla Valley, according to Fairfax County Police.
The assault happened after 3 a.m. Sunday in the 7700 block of Richmond Highway. Police say an adult woman was walking when a man approached in a vehicle and offered a ride. Once she was in the vehicle, the suspect refused to let the victim leave and attempted to sexually assault her. The victim escaped the vehicle and fled. She was not injured.
Officers searched the area and soon found the suspect and his vehicle. Jose Mauricio Sosas Ramos, 58, of Alexandria, was charged with abduction with intent to defile and was held without bond.
