Alexandria Man Charged With Stabbing In Fairfax County
Fairfax County Police described the stabbing as unprovoked, leading to life-threatening injuries for the victim.

BAILEY'S CROSSROADS, VA — An Alexandria man is facing a charge after what Fairfax County Police said was an unprovoked stabbing in a business in Bailey's Crossroads Tuesday.
Police had responded around 2:18 p.m. Tuesday to the 5600 block of Leesburg Pike in Bailey’s Crossroads and found a man with upper body stab wounds. Police determined the suspect, Richard Fuentes Cordova, 27, of Alexandria, approached the victim and stabbed him inside the business.
The victim went to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The suspect remained at the scene and was arrested by police. Cordova was charged with malicious wounding and was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. He was held on no bond.
Police are continuing to investigate the stabbing and ask for information to be reported to the Major Crimes Bureau at 703-246-7800, option 2.
