Alexandria Police Seek Help in Identifying Thief

Larceny suspect may be connected to cases in Alexandria as well as in Loudoun, Fairfax, Montgomery and Charles counties

The Alexandria Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in several larceny cases that have taken place in Alexandria as well as Loudoun, Fairfax, Montgomery and Charles counties. 

The suspect is wanted in connection with incidents beginning in November 2009 and are ongoing. He takes wallets from a victim’s purse while she is shopping. The suspect immediately uses the victim’s credit cards at other department stores, clothing stores or restaurants. He may have an accomplice who distracts the victim, according to police.

The suspect is described as a well-groomed black male, approximately 35 to 45 years of age, 5’09” to 6’ with a medium to stocky build and full beard.
