Alexandria Police Seek Help in Solving Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash
Police seek public's assistance in identifying man or car in photos, which may be linked to fatal hit-and-run crash on Jan. 21
Alexandria Police are asking for help in identifying a man possibly involved or a witness to the on Friday, Jan. 21.
Photos of the man and vehicle were captured on surveillance video from a nearby gas station.
The man is described as black, five feet ten inches to six feet tall with a clean shaved head.

He was dressed in a dark suit with a white shirt and dark tie.
The man also spoke with an accent which may be of African descent, and he might work for a sedan transportation service.

The vehicle is possibly a black Lincoln Town Car and may have had front-end damage.
A 26- year-old man was crossing King Street at the intersection with Park Center Drive when he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. A witness to the crash described the vehicle as a four-door black sedan, similar to a Lincoln Town car. The victim, Melbourne Clyde Leach, Jr. of Alexandria, was transported to INOVA Alexandria Hospital where he died.
