Police have charged a suspect in the death of Saquan Hall, who died from injuries sustained in a shooting July 2 in Alexandria.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Alexandria Police have charged a suspect with the homicide of Saquan Hall, who died from injuries sustained during a shooting that occurred in the 1000 block of First Street on Saturday, July 2.

Hall, 23, was shot early July 2 in the Westover neighborhood. Police have said the fatal shooting may have been in retaliation for a June 8 fatal shooting of Pierre Clark that took place two blocks away.

Dijuan Clark, 30, was apprehended Thursday in another state in connection with the homicide of Saquan Hall, police said Friday. He is in custody and awaiting the extradition process to Virginia.

"The Police Department has a strong proven track record of arresting those who commit murder in Alexandria, and this case can be added to their ranks.”

The Alexandria Police Department thanked the U.S. Marshals Service for their assistance over the course of the investigation.
