FBI: 'Ballcap Bandit' Bank Robbery Suspect Has Brother Serving Time for Bank Robbery
Alexandria Police say serial bank robbery suspect who wore ballcaps while robbing three banks is a resident of Arlington.
ALEXANDRIA, VA -- The Alexandria Police Department has made an arrest in a series of bank robberies that occurred in Alexandria last month, police announced Friday.
Budder Khan, 26, of Arlington, was arrested Thursday for two counts of Robbery. Khan was charged with the robbery of the following banks:
- April 18, 2016-Sun Trust at 2809 Mount Vernon Avenue
- April 28, 2016-Wells Fargo Bank at 1711 Fern Street
Arlington County Police say he was arrested Thursday night near 2nd and S. Fillmore streets in Arlington; whitepages lists a Budder Khan at 301 S. Fillmore St.

A Rafi Khan, who also lived on S. Fillmore Street, was arrested in 2011 for robbing two banks in Arlington County. The home was the scene of a home invasion and robbery in 2012, when suspects made off with $13,000 in cash and jewelery, according to a report by ARLnow. A spokesman for the FBI confirmed that the two are brothers and that Rafi Khan is currently serving time for the 2011 bank robberies.
The Alexandria Police Department said they thank the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Arlington County police Department for their assistance in arresting the suspect.

The FBI said that Budder Khan is also a suspect in the robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank this week in Falls Church.
