UPDATE: Blue Line Service Restored Between King Street and Franconia: Metro

Metro had reported fire department activity on Van Dorn Street has shut down some Blue Line service on the Metro.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- UPDATE 5:15 p.m.: Metro's Blue line service is restored Monday afternoon, after being shut down between the King Street and Franconia stops Monday afternoon due to fire department activity on Van Dorn Street, according to a report by Metro officials.

A brush fire along the tracks was reported earlier in the afternoon and the Alexandria fire department is on the scene. Bus service was made available to Metro passengers.
