Bubble Tea Cafe Coming to Old Town Alexandria
Owner hopes to open new cafe on S. Washington Street this summer.

Earlier this month, Alexandria City Council approved plans for Bubble Tea Cafe—a new restaurant located at 321 S. Washington St.
Owner Jessica Gurney told Patch she is aiming to open the cafe in early July.

The cafe will specialize in, of course, bubble tea—a concoction of small tapioca pearls placed in iced tea with fruit flavoring. The tapioca pearls will be made on-site.
The cafe will also serve baked goods such as cupcakes and cookies as well as ice cream and/or frozen yogurt.

Bubble Tea Cafe was approved for hours of 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends.
