City of Alexandria Announces Yard Waste Collection Cancellation
The City of Alexandria will adjust the yard waste collection schedule due to extreme heat and humidity in next week's forecast.
From the City of Alexandria:
ALEXANDRIA, VA - Due to a forecast for extreme heat and humidity, yard waste collection is cancelled on Monday and Tuesday of next week. Service is expected to return to normal the week of August 1. This cancellation frees up staff that will be reassigned to general trash collection allowing trash collection to be completed prior to a day’s peak temperatures. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
