City Begins Leaf Collection
Check out the schedule for pick up and suggested raking days.

City of Alexandria fall leaf collection has begun.
Leaves that are raked to the curb will be picked up on the following schedule:
Zone 3 (West of Russell Road and north of King Street): Pick-up starts Nov. 22 and again Dec. 9. Recommended rake-out days are Nov. 19 and Dec. 7.

Zone 4 (east of Russell Road): Pick-up starts Nov. 9, Nov. 28 and Dec. 14.
Recommended rake-out days are Nov. 7, Nov. 26 and Dec. 12.

Zone 5 (Old Town and Potomac Greens): Leaf crews will be on a continuous schedule in this zone from now through Dec. 14.
Residents who bag their leaves can pick up biodegradable bags (limit of 15 bags per visit) at the following locations.
Homeowners are asked to put the bags out at the curb the business day after their normal refuse collection.

- Solid Waste Division, 2900 A Business Center Drive. Monday - Saturday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Charles Barrett Recreation Center, 1115 Martha Custis Drive. Monday - Friday, 2 p.m. - 9 p.m.
- Chinquapin Park Recreation Center, 3210 King Street. Monday - Thursday, 6 a.m. - 9 p.m. Friday, 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
- William Ramsey Recreation Center, 5650 Sanger Avenue . Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Saturday, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
- , 2701 Commonwealth Avenue. Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Saturday, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
