City of Alexandria Public Schools Closed Tuesday

All City of Alexandria public schools are closed Tuesday due to the inclement weather. School personnel are operating on Code Green, which means some personnel must report to work.

The following staff do not report to work and no leave form is required: 

• 192, 200, 210, 215 and 218 day teachers, curriculum specialists, coordinators, assistant principals and administrative support;
• paraprofessionals and hall monitors;
• bus drivers and bus monitors;
• building food service staff;
• 10 month support staff (clerical/library/technical staff); and
• temporary part-time custodians.

All other personnel must report to the school system.

Montessori School of Alexandria - Closed

St. Mary's Catholic School - Closed

Separately, federal agencies in the Washington area are open under a two-hour delayed arrival schedule. Employees have the option for unscheduled leave or unscheduled telework. Employees should plan to arrive for work no more than two hours later than they would normally arrive.
