Duke Street Partly Closed Due to Water Main Break

There's a water main break in the 1400 block of Duke Street, between South Peyton and South West streets.

Repair crews are on the scene. The center turn lane and one of two lanes in each direction on Duke Street are closed.

For location comparison, , restaurant and the Society of American Florists are located in the 1700 and 1600 blocks of Duke Street.

The City of Alexandria expects the lane closures to affect afternoon rush hour traffic, and commuters are encouraged to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
