Firehook Bakery To Close Alexandria Location, 2 Others On Christmas Eve

Firehook Bakery, known for its breads, pastries and other baked goods, will close its locations and focus on its online presence.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Firehook Bakery, which dates back to 1992, will start a new chapter as it closes its three locations

The three locations being closed as of Christmas Eve (Dec. 24) are 430 S Washington Street in Alexandria, 14701 Flint Lee Road in Chantilly and 1909 Q Street NW in Washington, DC. The bakery specializes in baked goods like breads, cakes, pastries and more. The Alexandria location has been open since 2005, according to its website.

Firehook Bakery said it will stop selling its specialty bakery items online as of Dec. 24 when the bakeries close. It plans to continue selling its Mediterranean baked crackers.

"While we will miss being a purveyor of delectable artisan breads and pastries, the decision was made so that we can support the rapid growth and expansion of our national Firehook Cracker business," the bakery shared on social media. "We have been honored to serve you for the past three decades and are grateful for your years of patronage and support!"

The bakery is offering Christmas and Hanukkah specials in addition to the regular menu in its final days.
