It's the End of an Era...Demolition of Mango Mike's
Watch "Mango Mike" Anderson narrate a video this week after demolition of beloved Mango Mike's, an Alexandria institution.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- "Mango Mike" Anderson posted a video this week on Facebook commemorating the demolition of his former longtime eatery Mango Mike's Caribbean Restaurant on Duke Street in Alexandria.
"Well, the party's over. Mango Mike's had a good run, a lot of great times," Anderson says in the video he posted online this week. "We were the place in the West End to go hang out...It's kind of sad but we had a good run. Mango Mike's, rest in peace."
The longtime restaurant brought a kitschy tropical flair to Alexandria's West End for years before it closed. The popular restaurant was home to school fundraisers, birthday celebrations and Sunday brunches.
