Man Found Dead In Potomac River In Alexandria: Police

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Alexandria Police are investigating the death of a man found in the Potomac River Wednesday.

The death investigation is happening at 1 Jones Point Drive, which is the area of Jones Point Park near the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. Officers had responded to a report of a dead man found in the water Wednesday afternoon.

Police did not have any initial information on the suspected cause of death. The man's identity is not yet known. The investigation is ongoing.
