More Storms Possible In NoVA Thursday, Flooding Remains A Risk: Forecasters
On Thursday, a hazardous weather outlook was in effect for Northern Virginia. See the latest forecast and timing for severe weather.
Another round of thunderstorms, damaging winds and flooding is possible across Northern Virginia on Thursday, according to forecasters with the National Weather Service.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected in the region mainly after 1 p.m., the NWS said. A few storms could produce strong wind gusts Thursday afternoon and evening.
Overall, models suggest that any showers and storms will be less numerous and intense than they have been in the past two days, according to The Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang. On Wednesday night, severe thunderstorms spawned flash flood warnings across the state.

Thursday's storms could be capable of producing gusty winds and downpours, and NWS forecasters said "an isolated instance of flooding is possible this afternoon and evening."

As of noon Thursday, only a hazardous weather outlook was in effect for Northern Virginia. A flood watch was in effect for other portions of the state.

Temperatures on Thursday are expected to be in the low to mid-80s, accompanied by high humidity, forecasters said.
The stormy pattern will likely continue through the weekend and into next week, according to the NWS. Storms are expected every day through Tuesday, with high temperatures in the upper 80s.
