Mystic Bar & Grill, which has been open since 2024, announced its upcoming closure as the owners said operations became unsustainable.
ALEXANDRIA, VA — Mystic Bar & Grill will say farewell to Old Town Alexandria after more than a year in business.
The restaurant at 220 N. Lee Street will close at the end of November, the owners announced on social media. Alexandria Living Magazine first reported the news. Nov. 30 is the last day of business.
"We have made the difficult decision to close at the end of the month, owners Matt and Ralph Davis shared. "Since opening almost two years ago, we’ve faced challenges, and unfortunately the last few months have become unsustainable."

Mystic Bar & Grill, a Southern-focused restaurant with BBQ and seafood, had replaced Myron Mixon's Pitmaster BBQ, which closed in late 2023. The new restaurant had been open since April 2024. The owners are Ralph Davis, who opened RT's Restaurant and ran other Alexandria restaurants, as well as his son Matthew Davis.
