U.S. Navy Band Commodores — The Navy’s premier jazz ensemble, which has performed big band jazz for more than 40 years, hits Market Square at 7 p.m. Friday for a free show.
World Jam Club — This ensemble of world-class musicians from around the world will perform Afro-Cuban and Brazilian music Thursday night at The Old Town Theater (815 ½ King St.). Tickets start at $15.

Olivia Mancini — This D.C.-based musician brings her driving folk-rock to The Light Horse (715 King St.) for a 10 p.m. show Thursday.
Consider the lobster — On Monday nights, La Bergerie (218 N. Lee St.) offers a whole Maine lobster flambéed in cognac for $22. Most bottles of wine listed for less than $100 are available at a 40 percent discount. Go on. Consider it.

National Filet Mignon Day — This holiday is celebrated on Tuesday and Old Town is packed with restaurants serving fine filets for those looking to celebrate. The Carlyle Club (411 John Carlyle St.), Chart House (1 Cameron St.), Warehouse Bar and Grill (214 King St.), Brabo (1600 King St.) and Columbia Firehouse (109 S. St. Asaph St.) all offer filet mignon. You might also check out the new Flat Iron Steak and Saloon, located at 808 King St.
