The franchise owner of the Alexandria location is real estate entrepreneur Sam Sadeghi. Sadeghi was inspired by his father, who pursued baking after moving to the U.S. from Iran.
"My father and I are very passionate about baking and it was always my dream to open my cafe/bakery one day," said Sadeghi via a news release. "We initially considered opening our own coffee shop, but upon discovering the franchise opportunities with Paris Baguette, we decided to join as franchisees.

Paris Baguette serves a variety of sweet and savory fresh baked goods and coffee drinks. Baked goods range from cakes to pastries and seasonal offerings.
"The product tastes amazing — everything from pastries to sandwiches," said Sadeghi. "The cakes are also similar to ones from my country. We're excited to introduce the Alexandria community to Paris Baguette."
The location is the first in Alexandria proper and the seventh in Virginia. Paris Baguette has nearly 200 locations in the U.S. and aims to reach 1,000 U.S. locations by 2030.
