Police Investigate Bank Robbery on S. Washington St.

BB&T was robbed on Saturday, Oct. 29.

Alexandria Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred on Saturday at the located at 300 S. Washington St.

Around 10:50 a.m. on Oct. 29, a man entered the bank, implied a weapon and demanded money.

The teller relinquished an undisclosed amount of cash, and the suspect fled the area on foot. No one was injured, according to police.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall, weighing approximately 170 pounds. The suspect was wearing dark pants, a dark shirt and a mask.
