Police Investigate Possible 'Shots Fired' Overnight in West End Alexandria

Calls came in early Tuesday morning for two different locations in West End Alexandria. Police did not find any victims or suspects.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Alexandria Police investigated two reports of possible"shots fired" overnight in West End Alexandria, one of them near where similar activity was reported two weeks ago.

Police sent out an alert shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday about the latest possible incident, investigating near N. Chambliss Street and Fillmore Avenue (see map below), according to the alert. Two weeks ago, police were in the area investigating a call about shots fired near Dora Kelley Nature Park, which is nearby.

Also early Tuesday, shortly before 2:30 a.m., police investigated a report of possible shots fired at 4300 Duke Street, bordered by Fort Williams Parkway and N. Jordan Street (see second map below).

No victims were located Tuesday morning at either location, police said.
