Police Investigate United Bank Robbery
Robber fled on foot after demanding and taking money at S. Washington St. bank.
Alexandria Police are investigating a bank robbery at the in Old Town Alexandria.
Around 9 a.m. on Tuesday, a man entered the bank at 301 S. Washington St., displayed a handgun and demanded money. The teller relinquished an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect fled toward S. Washington Street on foot.
No one was injured, according to police.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black male, 25 to 30 years old and approximately 5’9”. The suspect was wearing blue jeans, a black scarf around his face, a black coat and a floppy hat with a camouflage print.
