Six Homes On Display For 2018 Historic Alexandria Homes Tour

This year's tour includes an 18th century masterpiece with an original staircase.

ALEXANDRIA, VA—History buffs and home enthusiasts alike always have one event to look forward to in the fall. The 77th annual Historic Alexandria Homes Tour will take place Saturday, Sept. 22.

The tour features six historic homes in Old Town. Among these is an 18th century English and Flemish style home with an original staircase and other charming features. The specific houses on the tour haven't been publicly announced, but teaser photos are posted online.

Hosted by The Twig thrift store, all proceeds benefit Inova Alexandria Hospital. The 2017 tour raised over $82,000 for the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit of the Inova Alexandria Hospital.

Tickets are $40 in advance and $45 the day of. Tickets can be purchased at The Twig, 106 N. Columbus Street, and the Ramsay House Visitor Center, 221 King Street. On tour day, tickets are available at The Anthenaeum, 201 Prince Street.
